Bill Davis Memorial
Bill Davis was one of the clubs Founding members who was unfortunately killed in his Top Alcohol Hydro Tinker Toy on September 25th, 1988 at Lake Glenmaggie, we honour Bill with an award in his name for being the first TAH in Victoria and helping move the club forward.
This award is given to the best club person as voted by committee members only.
Rick Dart Award
Rick Dart was a very early member in the VDBC Inc, Rick always had input wanting to help the club with fund raising, working on gates, the bar a bbq, he also was the main sponsor of The Contrator, BGH, we honour Rick’s name with a best club person award.
This award is given to the best club person as voted on by the general members.
Mechanic of the Year
This award is for mechanical excellence on one or more boats during the season as voted upon by the general members.
VDBC Presidents Choice
This award is chosen by the standing President for individual effort throughout the season.
Significant Achievement Award & Life Membership Criteria
In addition to the mechanisms of recognising individual members contribution and ⁄ or achievements for the previous racing season, the Victorian Drag Boat Club has two mechanisms of recognising achievements over extended periods of time.
These two mechanisms are the significant achievement award and life membership.

Significant Achievement Award
The Significant Achievement Award is to recognise the contribution a member makes over an extended period of time that goes beyond the contribution of an average member.
This award is voted by committee members only, however any club member can nominate another club member for the award.

Life Membership
Life membership is reserved for those whose contribution goes beyond ordinary and even excellent for an extended period of time, not just a few years.
This award is voted by committee members only, however any club member can nominate another club member for the Life Membership.
