I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone to the coming season 2017⁄2018.
The committee members have been working very hard behind the scenes to make this season one of our best yet.
We have in place at the moment plans for maintenance on all of our equipment as well as some big projects on the go, so stay tuned.
It’s that time again to start looking at our boats and getting them ready for the coming season ahead.
Let’s make this one not to forget.

2017 VDBC Presentation Night
It was a great night out with the VDBC at the Dandenong Club with plenty of food and entertainment, congratulations to all the winners and we will be looking forward to the upcoming Drag Boat Racing Season 2017⁄2018
Special congratulations go to Allan Day on becoming our latest life member and Wendy Howie for the Rick Dart Award.
Club meeting is on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.
Meetings generally starts at 6.30 or 7.30pm.
The meetings are held in the common room at the National Water Sports centre.

VDBC First Open Day
We had some pretty ordinary weather for the Open Day at the Victorian Drag Boat Club on Sunday 28-5-2017.
Otherwise it was a good days racing with around 10 new boats having a crack and many new drivers experiencing
the liquid quarter mile for their very first time.
Orange Pickle, Betty, Bottle Fed, Altered Image, Pure Perfection, The Hammer, Insaniac, Time Tunnel, Disturbed, Sublime, Mischief, Tampered With. Wave Runner (Jet Ski).
Psychotic and Social Disease who had mechanical issues and had to withdraw.
Congratulations to Conrad in his boat "Orange Pickle" who took out the best reaction time of 0.093 and Tom in "Betty" who ran the best ET at 13.05.
Congratulations to Carly her first time at the wheel in "Time Tunnel" who took out the win in the 13 Second Class, nice one Carly.
Also Congratulations to Bodhi for his first effort getting behind the wheel of "Altered Image".
It was a great end to the season, many thanks to all who helped out with the day’s festivities.
VDBC Open Day Sun 19th Nov 2017
This day is open to anybody who owns a boat, so come on down it’s a fun day out.
Cost is $65 for Non Members including club membership for 12 months 2017⁄18 Season.
Members pay a $20 safety levy.
